We put this statement to action in early 2019 when we established our third location in Red Deer, Alberta. Our branch in Lethbridge had grown rapidly, and it was becoming difficult to give our customers in northern Alberta the proper amount of service as southern Alberta. It has been over 3.5 years since our small crew of four opened our brand-new store in Red Deer, and we have enjoyed going out of our way to connect with our customers and participate in the local community.

Our current crew of seven continues to make every effort to maintain our relationship with you and various industries around northern Alberta. Every day we see a mixture of sectors from homeowners to farmers to septic installers – each still discovering a product they weren’t aware we served at Southern Irrigation.

Southern Irrigation provides Red Deer with a highly stocked inventory because we understand that sometimes one fitting can hold up an entire job. So, while most companies want to keep their inventory levels low, we strive to keep our bins full of fittings and our yard filled with multiple types of pipe.

While we can provide thousands of quality products, below are a few product lines you can expect to find in Red Deer.

You can expect a completely stocked line of products for septic and drainage systems, including pumps, float switches, filters, and other supplies. We also carry stainless steel (SS), brass, and galvanized threaded and insert fittings.

The various kinds of pumps available to you are vast. We carry brands such as Little Giant, FloJet, Liberty Pumps, Grundfos, Tsurumi Pump, Cornell, Ocmis, Goulds, BE Honda and Franklin Electric. We carry sump pumps, effluent pumps, pond pumps, submersible pumps, dewatering pumps, trash pumps, sewage pumps, grinder pumps, electric pumps, transfer pumps, PTO pumps, residential pumps, gas pumps, centrifugal pumps, multistage pumps, vertical pumps and large custom built pump units.

We also supply VFDs (or variable-frequency drives), such as the Franklin electric sub-drive system and the Franklin Electric Cerus X-Drive.

Blue, yellow, green, white, washup, food safe, suction, garden, layflat and multipurpose hoses – we carry it all with hose fittings.

Our experts can design your water treatment system, whether a residential or commercial system. Our product supply includes, but is not limited to, filter housings, cartridges, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, ultra-violet (UV) systems, water softeners and conditioners, iron filters, sediment filters, sand filters, and disk filters. We have participated in multiple projects, from waterworks for RV parks and golf courses to irrigation projects for large greenhouses and small market gardens. We have worked in several greenhouse expansions, including Central Alberta Greenhouses, Aspen Greenhouses, Meadowbrook Greenhouses, and our flagship install at S4 Greenhouses (see case study).
